What we help with
Trauma & PTSD Therapy
You may be doing a lot to keep life moving while your body still feels on alert. Therapy can offer a place to make sense of what happened, reconnect with yourself, and find more room to choose how you respond.
Request a consultationTrauma can show up in many ways
Some experiences leave you feeling anxious, numb, watchful, disconnected, or quick to react. You might avoid reminders, have trouble resting, or notice that relationships and ordinary decisions take more effort than they used to. Trauma can follow one event, repeated experiences, or a long period of feeling unsafe or unsupported. You do not need a particular label or a perfectly organized story to reach out.
At Wild Roots Therapy, we work with adults navigating trauma and PTSD, including difficult childhood experiences, loss, and events that still affect the present. We begin by understanding your goals and what helps you feel grounded. You have a say in the pace and focus of the work.
What therapy may look like
Build steadiness
We pay attention to safety, coping, and the signs that your nervous system needs more support before moving into difficult material.
Work with patterns as they happen
Experiential therapy can include noticing feelings, body sensations, protective responses, and relationship patterns in the room, alongside conversation.
Find a fitting approach
Depending on your therapist and goals, your care may draw on EMDR, somatic therapy, or other trauma-informed approaches. No one method is required.
You can start without being in crisis
Many people seek therapy because they are functioning on the outside but feel stuck, tense, or unlike themselves. Others want support after a more recent experience. We can talk about what you hope will change and whether our team is a good fit.

Take the next step at your pace
You do not need to decide which therapy method you need before contacting us. Tell us a little about what is bringing you in, and we can help you explore a starting point.
