Therapy for Neurodivergent Adults in Salt Lake City

You may have spent years adapting to expectations that do not quite fit. Therapy can be a place to understand your needs, make sense of old patterns, and find more room to live in a way that works for you.

What brings people in

You may be autistic, have ADHD, identify with both, or be exploring whether either description fits. Some people come to therapy with a diagnosis; others are only beginning to understand why everyday demands, sensory experiences, or relationships take so much energy. You do not need a formal diagnosis to talk about your experience.

Masking, overwhelm, burnout, executive function challenges, anxiety, and the feeling of being misunderstood can all be reasons to seek support. You might also want space to explore identity, boundaries, or the impact of growing up without language for how your mind works. We are interested in your particular experience rather than making assumptions from a label.

How we work together

Understand your patterns

We start with what feels hard, what already helps, and what you want to change. Together we can notice how stress, expectations, and past experiences shape your responses.

Make sessions fit you

We can discuss communication preferences, sensory needs, pacing, and what makes it easier to participate. You can tell us when something in therapy is not working.

Build workable support

Therapy can include practical strategies, relational work, and attention to emotions and the body. We look for changes that fit your actual life and values.

Support for the whole person

Neurodivergence can overlap with trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and exhaustion from trying to meet other people’s expectations. Our clinicians use collaborative, experiential approaches and adapt the work to your goals. The aim is not to make you seem more typical; it is to help you understand yourself and have more choice and support.

Therapy and formal diagnostic evaluation are different services. If you are seeking an ADHD or autism assessment, let us know so we can discuss what is currently available and what kind of evaluation you need.

Start with your own experience

You do not need to have the right words or a complete plan before reaching out. Tell us what you have been noticing and what support you are looking for, and we can explore whether our team is a fit.
