Hi, I’m Nancy Radigan-Hoffman.

I’m an ACMHC, a psychotherapist focused on the treatment of trauma-related disorders, depression, anxiety, OCD, and ADHD. My therapeutic approach blends depth-oriented and experiential work to foster the insight, awareness, and self-compassion that are foundational to healing and growth. I believe that the process of change is fundamentally experiential and transformative; we cannot know what awaits when we have released our old patterns of thoughts and behaviors. This process is inherently both exciting and daunting. To that end, I work with clients to develop a feeling of safety within the therapeutic relationship from which to explore painful experiences in the past and present.

My Approach

I have completed Level I EMDR training and am pursuing further training in trauma treatment, somatic healing, and exposure and response prevention. I also offer support to athletes regarding goal-setting, injury recovery, and deepening their relationship with sport. Upon client request and with the help of my therapy dog, Juniper, I offer animal-assisted therapy under the Human-Animal Relational Theory framework. I work to provide culturally competent therapy to clients of all backgrounds, and providing informed care to the LGBTQ+ community is particularly important to me. Across modalities, compassionate and mindful observation of inner experience is a cornerstone of my therapeutic approach.

Classics

In addition to my master’s of counseling, I also hold a master’s degree in Classics from the University of Texas at Austin, where I studied religion and philosophy in the ancient Mediterranean, and I received my bachelor’s degree in Classics and Writing Seminars from Johns Hopkins University.
